And I’m starting to wonder, what kind of people would stand by my bedside if i became paralyzed? My relationships with people seem so ephemeral.  You meet one person and they’re gone the next. And I let them.  But maybe I should have asked them to stay.  People can be independent, accept the fact that sometimes they are alone.  But in the end, you always have to reach out when you can....
